Solar hot water systems are a large clean
energy resource for Floridians. The Florida Chapter
supports policies
and incentives to increase use of solar energy. In November 2010,
the Legislature passed and then-Governor Charlie Crist signed into law
legislation addressing
backlogged rebates for Florida solar energy
customers, including homeowners
who purchased hot water, swimming pool
heat, and rooftop panel systems.
