REP Congratulates McCain for Primary Election Victory

Republicans for Environmental Protection, a national grassroots organization of stewardship-minded Republicans, is pleased by Senator John McCain’s thumping victory in Arizona’s Republican primary election on August 24.

"We offer warm congratulations to Senator McCain for this important election victory. Senator McCain, with his long record of public service and support for conserving America’s natural resources, was without question the superior candidate in this race. We look forward to working with him in the years ahead on the critical energy and natural resource management issues facing our country," David Jenkins, REP vice president for government and political affairs, said.

REP endorsed McCain for re-election to the Senate seat once held by Barry Goldwater. In the 2008 presidential campaign, REP was an early endorser of McCain’s candidacy.
