State Profile

Virginia is a beautiful state, with mountains, forests, seashores, and rivers to visit and enjoy. Great places to see include Shenandoah National Park, Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area, the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, and the Jefferson and George Washington National Forests.

Increasingly, Republicans around the state are becoming aware of the risks associated with uncontrolled overdevelopment and of the need to protect clean air and water, coastal estuaries, forests, and other high-quality natural areas.
